Frequently Asked Questions
Training/Schooling Rides Versus Lessons:
Training rides are horse-centric. They are sessions in which I ride or work with the horse with a specific goal (fitness, refinement of skills, etc).
Lessons may involve a short session with myself riding but they are focused on the owner/rider's growth and education.
What should I bring to a lesson?
I require all riders to wear proper footwear: closed-toe boots with at least a 1/2-inch heel.
Helmets are required for all mounted activities. Helmets must be ASTM/SEI certified. Bike helmets, skateboarding helmets, or other helmets that are not meant specifically for equestrian sports are not acceptable.
If you are looking to purchase a helmet, I highly recommend The Classic Equestrian in Ada, MI. They will be able to help fit riders for a helmet.
